Cuor di Toscana
A rich harvest...

A rare opportunity to share two of Tuscany’s best-loved traditions – the grape and the olive harvests. Pick the grapes for 2007’s Montespertoli Chianti DOCG. Watch our olives being pressed into fragrant oil.

Long weekends:

Grapes
28 September - 2 October
4 -8 October

Olives
19 -23 October
26 -30 October

Experience harvest-time on a real farm. Work side by side with the farm labourers and picnic with them in the shade at lunchtime!
Learn all about genuine Tuscan country cooking, in a one-day course, ending with dinner together on local delicacies.
Above all, get to know our Tuscan wine and Tuscan olive oil.

Day 1 : A real Tuscan welcome
Check in to your farm accommodation between 4 and 7 p.m.
You will be staying in the classic Tuscan landscape of vineyards, olive groves and avenues of cypresses. Included in the price are bed, breakfast and one meal per day.
Before dinner, the farmer will be happy to offer you an aperitif and tell you about his farm products and, of course, about the weekend’s activities.

Day 2: The wine of the gods!
Rise with the lark and out to the vineyards with the farm workers!
Experts will be on hand to answer all your questions about the grape harvest. Lunch al fresco with the grape pickers.
Afternoon free to relax or, perhaps, to visit Florence, less than 20 kilometres away.
Dinner where you will – explore the local area!

Day 3 : Lounging and learning!
The morning is all yours, for relaxing - though activities are on offer for the more energetic, such as horse riding. Or perhaps you would like to go shopping for the ingredients of your cookery class in the afternoon? In just four hours you’ll turn out a genuine Tuscan meal, to enjoy together at dinnertime. Washed down (nature permitting!) with the newly fermenting wine!
An unforgettable experience.

Day 4: Arrivederci!
Breakfast together, then it’s time to go home. Real enthusiasts can stay on a day or two, on request.
